KHTB Theatrical Productions, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that brings awareness and prevention through the arts. KHTB is hosting a fundraiser for its current Awareness to Prevention (A2P) initiative, which brings attention to Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and gun safety.

KHTB will present the stage play “Waiting Room” The Seanton Jorden Story to support these awareness initiatives. The performance will be held September 9, 2023, 6:00pm, Royalwood Campus, 7803 Uvalde Road, Houston, Texas. Seanton Jorden was a member of KHTB’s youth drama team. At 15 years of age, Seanton was hanging out with friends playing video games, enjoying the day, when he was tragically shot in the head with a pellet gun in June of 2010. Seanton survived the horrific injury; however, he now suffers from a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), is non-verbal and unable to function. Seanton’s father, Devon Jorden, didn’t want his son’s life to be about that tragic situation. He began to write about Seanton’s life from birth through his teenage years and ended up with almost 300 pages. Seanton’s friends eagerly shared stories telling the true impact of the life he lived daily. We will share Seanton’s life on the stage and his family’s journey in the “waiting room,” as they spent many days and nights at hospitals and rehabs. Seanton’s story will tug at heartstrings and bring an exhilarating twist of laughter with glimpses of what is happening in the supernatural.
