ABOUT US

Join us! Let’s increase awareness

OUR MISSION

We exist to nurture the artistic creativity and develop the talents of at-risk youth and young adults in performing arts and music.

OUR PURPOSE

Our organization uses the arts to reveal natural creative skills within each individual while addressing discipline and self-esteem issues. Performers learn new skills while presenting social awareness issues before audiences to provoke transformative thought and bring solutions to issues of safety and equity among our youth and communities.

KHTB Theatrical Productions, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation that creates and directs multi-discipline projects consisting of Performing Arts and Music.

Kimberly Hicks Dillman and Teresa Bell are co-founders of KHTB Theatrical Productions.  In 1998, KHTB founded The Performing Arts for Youth and Young Adults for youth ages 13 and older in the inner city of Houston, Texas, Kashmere Gardens, and 5th Ward area. KHTB has produced and directed multiple productions on various platforms and theater stages. Our foundation was inspired by faith-based principles, as we took scriptures and brought them to life on stage. We continue with our founding principles, as we use the arts, to address equitable safety resources and educational solutions for the at-risk communities we serve. Some notable venues are Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas, and Houston’s very own Texas Southern University’s Hannah Hall and the University of Houston’s Cullen Performance Hall.
